Galmed Medical Research Successfully Completes Initial Phase I Study of Aramchol, its Drug Candidate for Fatty Liver Disease.

 

The double blind, placebo controlled phase-I trial has been carried out at the Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Tel-Aviv, Israel). The study was designed to assess and characterizes the safety and tolerability of Armachol in healthy male subjects at single ascending doses. It was also aimed at assessing the pharmacokinetic profile of the drug following single ascending oral dose administrations.
